This is the Life
Nothing breaths life into my soul like driving around Garret's family farm up in Bathgate, ND. We're cruising around in one of their rangers, heading toward the field they're currently harvesting.Swaying fields of wheat as far as the eye can see, with some beans & beets mixed in, too. Dirt road after dirt road after dirt road. It's quiet, except for the humming of machinery and the sound of the wind. This is my escape. Surrounded by so much of what I love: fields, farm life, fresh air and my husband. I can breathe. I can feel God's presence. This is the life.
When I see each of life's moments as a gift, all of a sudden, I'm grateful. I'm content. I'm happy. File that one under "Reasons Why I'm a Photographer".
