Sugar Beet Harvest!

Hello from sugar beet country! Hubs and I have made the 200-mile journey back to his homeland (the NE corner of North Dakota) for a few days of sugar beet harvest. He's hauling beets and I alternate between being the photographer & his copilot. His family grows sugar beets for Crystal Sugar - chances are, you've got some in your cupboard! This is where it comes from and here are some of the people who grow it!Alert: the newest little sugar beet farmer in the family has made the blog too, and he's tooooo cute to miss.eehnle395a2301bweehnle395a2311bweehnle395a2351bweehnle395a2472bweehnle395a2692bweehnle395a2379bweehnle395a2389bweehnle395a2407bweehnle395a2430bweehnle395a2448bweehnle395a2461bw eehnle395a2512bweehnle395a2625bweehnle395a2638bweehnle395a2675bweehnle395a2711bweehnle395a2723bweehnle395a2768bwWhile we're here, I took some photos of the newest addition to the farm - Maclin!eehnle395a3063droolediteehnle395a2904bweehnle395a2997bweehnle395a3031eehnle395a3035eehnle395a3048  eehnle395a2831bweehnle395a3164bwAfter the sun went down, I jumped back in the truck and hauled beets with Garret til midnight! Gosh, I love harvest time. :)Next stop, my homeland, Illinois!
