In the last year or so, I've felt my agricultural photography shifting more and more towards the people of agriculture. Because this life is so much more than corn + cows, it's the people who make it so special. The Topp Hereford family most certainly falls in that category. I found myself on the Topp Ranch by complete chance when I was sent out there for the AgWeek shoot. On my way home from that shoot, I got a call from Prairie Topp, saying, "Erin! I just looked at your website, and I have goosebumps! We need to talk." Those are my very favorite kind of phone calls; calls like this mean I just met a client who's also going to be a friend.

My heart and soul are embedded in my images. And people who love those images are generally people who care about the exact same things in life that I do. We value real life and real relationships and real interaction. We know hard work matters, but being people of character matters more. And there's nothing more uplifting than being around people like that.
