The Grants

Just a few years ago, when this crazy journey started, I knew little outside the corn & soybeans of central Illinois. Since then, this job has taken me from coast to coast, introducing me to some of the most kind people who have loved me for who I am, and who have graciously taught me all things livestock. The Grant family was a huge part of that in 2016. They're one of those families I met and just fell right into step with, like I've known them my whole life. I spent time with all three generations - Brian and Sandy, their son Cody and granddaughter Karlie, as well as several of their employees who felt just like family too. We worked together, ate together, and really just did life together for two days.I'm not sure that I'm talented enough with words to properly describe the genuineness of these people, how much they love their animals and each other, their passion for doing their work well. I pray these photos do them justice:eehnle395a8510eehnle395a8556eehnle395a8636eehnle395a8988eehnle395a9041eehnle395a9208eehnle395a9318eehnle395a9320eehnle395a9557eehnle395a9331eehnle395a9392eehnle395a9399eehnle395a9431eehnle395a9455eehnle395a9458eehnle395a9459eehnle395a9478eehnle395a9479eehnle395a9550eehnle395a0060eehnle395a9722eehnle395a9910eehnle395a9925eehnle395a8820mlk-day-eehnle395a9459lowresSandy and I have worked together to create two websites. Heritage Livestock is for their stocker cattle operation. Visit www.heritagelivestockky.com to see what a day in their life looks like + formally meet them. Sandy is also managing a new livestock testing lab called Dependable Livestock Testing. Visit www.dependablelivestocktesting.com to learn about how they are helping the industry better control heard health and productivity. And lastly, if you'd like to collaborate on a website and/or schedule a photoshoot, I'd love to hear from you. These are my favorite. :) Shoot me an email at erin@grandvaleco.com
