Choose Kind Over Cool

I've never been one of those people who just naturally has the cool factor. Genuine? Check. Thoughtful? Check. Cool? Not a chance. ????But am I really, truly kind/cool 100% of the time? ... It hurts to look at the ways I fall short. But you know what do I find joy in? Knowing I can do better. Imagining what our world would look like if we were all kind/cool more of the time.

Think Acrostic

I miss my home church in Illinois, so I frequently watch the messages online. In a recent video, our pastor talked about using a THINK acrostic for testing our thoughts before they become words and actions. It's based off of Ephesians 4:29 (verse in italics below).Tasteful Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths...Helpful ...but only what is helpful...Inspiring ...for building others up...Necessary ...according to their needs...Kind ...that it may benefit those who listen.In theory, I love that. In real life, I love it too. But my eyes widen, because that's a lot of filters for a girl who says what's on her mind! ???? But let's keep trying. We can start by remembering to choose kind/cool. ☺️
